Now That Was A Riot!

05 Nov

So, today was the first day in the studio for our Radio II class and was it ever exciting! My friend Tracie was first up, recording her spot for “Theater of The Stars,” a series of plays/musicals performed at the Fox Theater. I am so proud of her because not only did she write a very clever script, she picked some really awesome talent. Together with the help of our technician (I believe his name was Chris), we all witnessed her spot come to life and so far, it’s fantastic!

The studio, R!OT, is a pretty cool place in itself. Not only does it have a foozeball table, Starbucks coffee and two soda fountains, they also have state of the art mixing equipment and four recording studios. After visiting this place, Unboundary (a design firm in Midtown?), and Fitzgerald + Co (ad firm in Buckhead), I’m gonna be pretty bummed if I end up working in a building that doesn’t have state-of-the-art amenities.

Anyhoo, kudos to Tracie. The bar has been set pretty high and that makes the red-headed, stepchild super nervous!
